Israeli police launched a widespread search operation in Tel Aviv on Wednesday evening following security concerns that disrupted a gathering of hostages' families.
According to initial reports from local authorities, the operation began after reports of a suspicious individual in the area. Police immediately initiated extensive sweeps of the vicinity, while the gathering of hostage families' members was dispersed as a precautionary measure.
"We are currently conducting operational activities and comprehensive searches in the area," a police spokesperson said. "The report of a suspicious person is being investigated, but no further details can be provided at this time."
