SHOCK: PA TV host claims October 7 massacre "never happened"

Given the extensive evidence, the Palestinian Authority has made itself into a laughing stock with this denial.

As international investigations continue to document the events of October 7, official Palestinian Authority television is pushing a different narrative. In a recent broadcast, a PA television correspondent claimed Israel "distorted the facts" about the Hamas-led attacks to "advance its narrative on the international stage."

The denial comes as multiple international media outlets and human rights organizations have verified extensive documentation of the attacks, which killed approximately 1,200 people in southern Israel.

"Israel is working to change the picture, blur the truth, and turn reality upside down by spreading rumors," the PA journalist said during the televised interview. Her comments were echoed by Fawzi Al-Ghawil, head of the Advisory Council of the Arab Digital Union, who claimed that "the Zionist entity" controls "the most important media outlets in the world."

Itamar Marcus, director of Palestinian Media Watch, a research institute that monitors Palestinian media, sees these statements as part of a broader pattern. Speaking Wednesday on Israeli television, Marcus pointed to what he describes as systematic denial combined with justification of the attacks.

"There are two clear trends," Marcus said. "They minimize and justify their actions on October 7, while amplifying what they claim Israel is doing in Gaza." According to Marcus, this creates "a dual narrative designed to undermine historical facts."

The statements from PA media come as international bodies continue to investigate the events of October 7, with multiple organizations having already published detailed findings about the attacks and their aftermath.
