Defense Minister Israel Katz visited the Arrow battery which shot down the Houthi missile fired at Israel earlier this morning (Tuesday) and congratulated the soldiers in charge of the battery on their success.
Katz said that "I came here to congratulate you on your very successful interception...of the upgraded missile fired yesterday by the Houthi terrorist organization from Yemen...Millions rely on you, awakening to the sound of sirens but knowing that there is someone to handle the threat."
Katz then reiterated his repeated threat towards the Houthis: "We will not make peace with the fact that the Houthis continue to fire on the State of Israel. I warned and said that just as we handled Sinwar in Gaza, Haniyeh in Tehran, and Nasrallah in Beirut - we will also handle the Houthi leaders in Sanaa and everywhere in Yemen."
He then finished by saying that "we don't rely on anyone except for the IDF to protect the settlements and the residents...and the threat in the sky is the first missile war - you will continue to act in defense of the country's skies and we will act on the offensive with great force to remove the threats above the State of Israel."
