On Monday afternoon, Border Police and Civil Administration forces raided Givat Tzur Harel and another settlement that was established about two weeks ago.

They presented a closed military zone order signed by OC Central Command Avi Balut, evacuated the residents and demolished the buildings there.

Border Police forces and the Civil Administration, together with Arab laborers, demolished two structures used by residents in Givat Tzur Harel and the new settlement outpost, Deir Eizim, and confiscated equipment used for construction.

According to the residents, the demolition of Givat Tzur Harel and the new settlement point was carried out on the orders of Maj. Gen. Avi Balut, who ordered the demolition of the two hills, as "revenge" for the construction of the new settlement point two weeks ago.

The residents of Givat Tzur Harel were outraged following the evacuation: "It is unacceptable that such a thing is happening, the destruction of an old settlement in revenge for the fact that they established a new point nearby, Major General Avi Balut should be ashamed of his actions."

"Despite the destruction, we will not break, we will rebuild Givat Tzur Harel and the new settlement point until two magnificent settlements are established there. We do not despair and continue forward until the settlement of all of the Land of Israel is completed," The residents said.
