IDF orders evacuation in Shejaiya area

About an hour ago today (Monday), the IDF Spokesperson in Arabic published an evacuation map for residents in part of the Shejaiya neighborhood in the Gaza Strip, calling on them to leave so the IDF can retaliate for rocket fire from the area.

The Spokesperson said that Hamas has continued to fire rockets from this area despite multiple warnings, and that civilians must evacuate to safety in western Gaza City.

The IDF has been building up the pressure in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in the neighborhoods of Gaza City and nearby towns, while generally avoiding intense operations in the central Strip, where most of the hostages are believed to be held.

Multiple conflicting reports are emerging regarding hostage negotiations, with some claiming it is nearly a done deal and others claiming and blaming each other for sabotaging the deal with new demands.
