While Hamas is losing strength, the situation on the ground, especially in the southern Gaza Strip, is turning into a demon dance of murder, violence and hunger. Armed gangs loot the aid, and the situation becomes more and more difficult, while at the same time the UN refuses to allow IDF forces to secure its aid convoys, so as not to harm "neutrality."

Hazem Islam, a truck driver, was driving through the rubble of southern Gaza when gunmen who were ambushing him broke into the truck and forced him to drive to a nearby location, he described to the New York Times. There they held him for 13 hours until they unloaded and looted all the contents of the truck.

A few weeks ago, crowds gathered near the Zadaneh bakery in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, hours before the opening, out of a desire to buy bags of bread at a subsidized price of one dollar. Suddenly, a number of people armed with knives broke into the line and were pushed to the top of the line, as a result of the shots that broke out on the spot, three women were killed.

What at the beginning of the war was only "sporadic" and accidental thefts by lone Gazans, is now taking place in an organized, tactical manner, armed like a criminal organization, Georgios Petropoulos, a senior UN official, complained to The Times.
