President-elect Donald Trump has been sending messages to Israel stating that he will not insist as much on providing humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians as the Biden administration did, according to a report today (Sunday) by Channel 12 reporter and commentator Amit Segal.
If true, this would be a boon to Prime Minister Netanyahu's effort to prosecute the war, as both he and multiple other ministers and politicians have noted that humanitarian aid tends to be stolen by Hamas and then resold to the public at exorbitant prices, helping to keep the ailing terrorist movement alive and allowing it to remain recalcitrant in its demands for a hostage deal.
COGAT, the defense body responsible for coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians, especially in the humanitarian zone in the Strip's center, often posts on X showing enormous amounts of humanitarian aid ready to be picked up which is never collected or which "disappears."
