The State Attorney's Office today (Sunday) filed an indictment in the Jerusalem District Court against two Arabs from Jerusalem, aged 33-35, for conspiring with a Hezbollah operative and providing information to the terrorist organization during the current war.

In addition, one of the defendants is also charged with attempting to carry a weapon without permission. The State Attorney's Office asked the court to order the detention of the two men until the end of the legal proceedings against them.

According to the indictment, which was filed through Attorney Puah Ben Tov of the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office, the defendants contacted a woman named Danya through a WhatsApp group. Even after they learned that she was an operative in the Hezbollah organization, the defendants continued to contact her and shared information about Israel with her.

At her request, the defendant Abd al-Salam provided her with photographs from the Caesarea area, while the defendant Ta'ir Asili provided her with news articles about Israel and the security situation.

The two were also asked to contact a senior Hezbollah intelligence commander, known as Al-Hajj. The defendant Asili even purchased a new SIM card for this connection, but refused the request to take pictures in the Metulla area.

The indictment also states that the defendant Al-Salam was photographed with a weapon during a visit to Jenin, which was in the possession of a local authority known as "Abu Harb." The indictment accuses the defendants of contact with a foreign agent and providing information to the enemy. Defendant Al-Salam is also charged with the offense of attempting to carry a weapon without permission.
