Prof. Uzi Rabi, a senior researcher at the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University, addresses the Israeli front in Yemen and says that Israel should not underestimate them.

In an interview with Radio 103FM, Rabbi initially addressed Iran's goal in operating the Houthis: "The Iranians need to show that they can tighten their belts, especially in front of the public consciousness at home. As long as they can prove that their strength is in their belt, they will continue. The Houthis have fallen in love with the struggle against the State of Israel – this positions them in a leading position in Yemen. They believe that every problem in the Middle East will reach a settlement, and they want to gain the most benefits in the new Yemen and be its leaders."

He added, "I suggest not to think that the Houthis are just a puppet and nothing more. They have fallen in love with their status. They understand that firing at Israel improves their standing in the Arab and Muslim street, and most importantly – it positions them in a leading role in Yemen."

What should Israel do? "I think Israel needs to adopt a different mode of operation against the Houthis. Israel has positioned itself differently in the Middle East – in terms of military capability and additional tactics. Intelligence can be gathered from other sources in Yemen. As long as they can withstand the attacks of the American-British coalition and the strikes of Israel, they will continue. Yesterday's attack penetrated deep into Yemen – a control center in Sanaa, not an economic artery or smuggling route. I don't think this attack will prevent them from continuing."
