Discover how Israelis executed the Beeper Operation against Hezbollah
Former Mossad agents recount the daring mission, give an inside look at the operation that still fascinates the entire world.

Operation Beepers, which took place in two phases in Lebanon a few months ago, and which in fact marked the beginning of the decisive phase of the war between Israel and Hezbollah, is still preoccupying the world.
Today (Thursday), the American network CBS announced that this coming Sunday, as part of the popular and well-known investigative program "60 Minutes," an episode will be broadcast that will reveal the "behind the scenes" of the dramatic and daring operation.
As part of the episode that will be broadcast, the channel will present interviews with Israeli Mossad agents who recently retired from the Israeli intelligence organization and were involved in the preparation of the program. Mossad agents were interviewed with their faces covered and not visible.
One of the agents said, as quoted by the Axios website, that Israel checked the pagers several times to make sure that at the time of the explosion only the terrorist would be hit, even if there were others nearby.
Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the impressive beeper operation, during which thousands of Hezbollah terrorists were injured to varying degrees throughout Lebanon, with the beepers on their bodies exploding.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implicitly claimed responsibility during a cabinet meeting about a week and a half ago, when he said that Operation Pagers and the assassination of Nasrallah were launched despite the opposition of senior defense officials and the political echelon in charge of them.
