The Shin Bet and the police announced today that a resident of Nazareth passed information to Hezbollah during the war.

The joint statement stated that in a joint operation by the Shin Bet and a division of minorities in the Northern District of the Israel Police, Muhammad Saadi, 19, a resident of Nazareth, was arrested during the month of November on suspicion of passing information to Hezbollah elements during the war.

The investigation by the Shin Bet and the police revealed that Saadi had contacted Hezbollah several times in recent years and even asked to join the fighting in its ranks, in addition to contacting the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar network and asking to send them various photos and videos during the war.

The investigation also revealed that as part of the war, Saadi passed on information about the locations of rocket landings, the movement of planes, and the locations of IDF forces to these organizations.

This morning, December 19, 2024, at the end of the investigation, an indictment was filed against Muhammad Saadi by the Northern District Attorney's Office, accusing him of contact with a foreign agent.

The investigation into the affair has once again exposed the fact that elements of the Shiite axis, led by Iran, are working to promote terrorist activity in Israel, including by recruiting residents of the State of Israel who are exploited by them for espionage activities for their own purposes.
