In a complicated operation in foggy, rainy conditions, snipers of the IDF Givati Brigade prepared a counter-ambush for ambushing terrorists, eliminating more than ten of them.
The commander of the operation said that they detected terrorists trying to flee the Jebaliya area to attack IDF soldiers. As they knew of a prepared escape route, the snipers established themselves to target that route.
In order not to reveal their position, the snipers waited until they could attack the terrorists when they were truly invisible, killing at least ten terrorists in two attacks.
The snipers were able to spot and eliminate the terrorists in the rainy and foggy conditions thanks to thermal equipment which identifies people according to body heat temperature.
The commander ended by saying that "an ambush is the special operation of the snipers, what makes us unique," he said. "Rain, wind, and fog, doesn't matter - every sniper wants to take part in that."
