Following a report received by the Ministry of Health about the hospitalization of a person who took "Liza plus" weight loss pills and experienced repeated episodes of loss of consciousness, the Ministry of Health warns the public against using illegal drugs purchased outside the legal marketing channels.
In a laboratory test conducted, the active ingredient Sibutramine was found in this dietary supplement, which was banned for use and marketing by the Ministry of Health in 2010 due to its danger. The use of a drug containing the active ingredient Sibutramine is associated with the occurrence of severe side effects such as heart attacks, strokes, psychoses, and even death.
Dr. Roni Berkovitz, Director of the Enforcement and Supervision Division at the Ministry of Health: "The Ministry of Health reiterates its warning to the public about the dangers of purchasing medications and dietary supplements outside the legal marketing channels. The ministry once again calls on the public to buy medications and food supplements only at pharmacies and drugstore chains, and to avoid purchasing these products through social networks and unrecognized websites."
In case of suspicion of counterfeit drugs, do not use the product and report to the Enforcement and Supervision Division of the Ministry of Health through the Health Call Center *5400.
