A shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, has resulted in multiple injuries and fatalities, according to police. At least four people are confirmed dead, and the suspect, believed to be a juvenile, is also deceased. Several others have been injured, including students and staff members, with some suffering potentially fatal injuries, police said.


The Madison Police Department responded to the incident at 10:57 a.m. Monday, urging the public to avoid the area. While law enforcement continues to investigate, they have confirmed that there are no additional threats to local schools.
Police Chief Shon Barnes stated that the suspect has been neutralized and secondary searches of the school and surrounding vehicles are underway. The investigation remains active, and authorities have provided limited details so far. Injured individuals have been transported to local hospitals.
Abundant Life Christian School, a K-12 institution serving around 390 students, is situated on a 28-acre campus. The school, which serves families from Dane County, had planned to begin its Christmas vacation later this week.
The shooting has drawn a heavy police response, with numerous emergency vehicles seen at the scene. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of school shootings in the U.S., a crisis that has proven difficult to address despite efforts to limit access to firearms.
