Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree said this evening (Monday) that his force fired a Palestine-2 "hypersonic" missile at a target in the Yafo area, and that the Houthis would not stop attacking Israeli targets until the "aggression" in Gaza ended.

The IDF announced earlier today that they intercepted a missile fired at the center of the country, which triggered a red color alarm throughout cities such as Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Petach Tikvah, and their environs.

The IDF said that the missile was intercepted outside Israeli territory and that the siren was due to fear of falling interception pieces - some of which indeed fell to earth west of the Jordan River. No casualties were reported by Magen David Adom.

The IDF did not say what sort of missile they intercepted or whether it was indeed hypersonic, though the army has dismissed such claims before in the past.
