The port of Tartus, the site of Syrian and Russian naval military bases, suffered a particularly severe blow last night (between Sunday and Monday) from Israeli attacks, according to videos posted on social media.

Footage caught last night showed a huge mushroom of fire illuminating Syria's night sky, which raises questions about the type of munitions used to destroy the Syrian navy.

According to reports from Syria, the attack attributed to Israel at the port of Tartus last night was so powerful that it caused an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on the Richter scale.

There were also reports of numerous secondary explosions observed in the attacks, indicating large weapons depots to which Israel aimed its fire that night.
