The training program, named Halacha Lema’aseh—a term referring to the application of Jewish law in practical situations—has already trained around 300 soldiers. The focus of their training included shooting skills and various combat scenarios. Since the outbreak of the war, many new recruits have joined the Home Front Command to enhance the defense of communities in Judea and Samaria, according to Israel National News.
Major General Avi Bluth, Commander of the Central Command, stated, “Today, we are completing the third cycle of our program. From this hardship, we are growing and strengthening our forces. You are privileged to be part of this mission and take responsibility in these historic times.”
Yaki Dolf, Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, commented, “The past year has been one of Israel’s most challenging, with the war and the security and social issues it has brought. At this critical time, the need for dedicated soldiers with strong values is more important than ever. Today, it is our responsibility to ensure the security of our homes, communities, and nation.”
Brigadier General (res.) Pini Levi, who led the training, emphasized the increasing shortage of soldiers, adding, “We have both religious and secular individuals who understand the significance of this program and are ready to fulfill their mission.”
