The IDF killed two Hezbollah terrorists identified in southern Lebanon today (Thursday), who were identified as a threat to Israeli residents and who were in violation of the ceasefire in the north.

The IDF further stated that it continues to be committed to the understandings arrived at in the ceasefire and remain deployed in southern Lebanon to remove any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.

The Lebanese Army, meanwhile continues to deploy throughout southern Lebanon as part of its commitment to uphold its part in enforcing the demilitarization of southern Lebanon. It has already established outposts in the villages of Khiam and Marj Ayyun to that end.

The ceasefire coordination committee - which includes representatives of the US, France, UNIFIL, the Lebanese Army, and the IDF has already met once in Naqoura on the Lebanese side of the border, and they will likely meet again tomorrow.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have both promised Israeli citizens that Israel will hit back very hard against any violation of the ceasefire, and that the IDF will not simply hold back in the face of a "drizzle" of rockets.
