The IDF eliminated a number of terrorists in an air strike last week, including a department head of Hamas' manufacturing headquarters and a company commander in Hamas' Zeitoun Battalion, in the building of the now disused "Al-Hurriya" school in Gaza City.
The IDF said that it took a number of steps to reduce the possibility of civilian casualties in the strike, including "the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence."
The eliminated terrorist Ammar Daloul was reportedly a "major source of information" in the production of weapons for Hamas, while Jihad Yassin was a company commander in Hamas' Zeitoun Battalion, which is responsible for multiple attacks on IDF soldiers in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the IDF is launching an operation today (Thursday) in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, following the launching of projectiles from the area against Israeli targets.
National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that he believes that a hostage deal can be negotiated within a month and that Prime Minister Netanyahu is on board with such a deal.
