The IDF Spokesperson reported a short while ago (Thursday) that it had intercepted a UAV in the south of the country, the UAV was launched from the east - apparently from Yemen.

Update (08:53): Warnings about the infiltration of hostile aircraft have now been heard in Netivot, Yizram Farms, Tekuma, Nir Am, Sderot, Ivim and Yakhini. The IDF Spokesperson said: "Initially: Warnings were activated about the infiltration of hostile aircraft in Netivot and in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip, the details are being examined."

The IDF Spokesperson's Office said in a statement: "The Air Force intercepted a short while ago in the south of the country, an unmanned aerial vehicle launched from the east, there were no casualties. Warnings were activated in accordance with policy."A drone was detected flying over southern Israel on Wednesday, prompting alerts in Gaza border communities and the cities of Sderot and Netivot. Sirens were triggered in these areas as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) monitored the situation closely.
