A video gaining widespread attention on social media captures what appears to be a shift in perspective among college students when confronted with the implications of certain protest slogans regarding the Israel-Gaza war.
The footage, which has sparked significant online discussion, documents reactions as students learn about the historical context of phrases used at pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
The video's creators Daniel Braun and Moshe Shear indicate this was a follow-up to previous content where they had explained the historical context of resistance movements in the Middle East.
Chanting 'Globalize the Intifada' and being part of the 'resistance' is absolutely fine for these college students, as long as they don't have to face what these terms really mean. But once they do, as brilliantly depicted in the video, they feel increasingly uncomfortable and many refuse to listen and run away as fast as their legs can carry them, because it's so disturbing.
The video also shows how one woman had no problem accepting the massacre of Jews, but not the slaughter of their animals.
The content emerges amid ongoing campus debates about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, particularly following the October 7th attacks and subsequent war in Gaza.
