The forces of the US Army's Central Command carried out a series of precision airstrikes today (Sunday), aimed at terrorists of the Islamic State terrorist organization (ISIS) in central Syria. This was published this evening by the official account of the US Central Command on the X platform.
The strikes included more than 75 targets, and were carried out by the US Air Force using B-52, F-15 and A-10 aircraft. Damage assessment teams are currently in the midst of investigations, and there have been no reports of casualties among the civilian population so far.
According to the report, the US Central Command, in cooperation with allies and regional partners, is expected to continue to carry out actions to reduce the terrorist organization's operational capabilities.
General Michael Eric Kurilla stated that "there is no doubt – we will not be able to allow ISIS to renew and benefit from the current situation in Syria." He added that any organization in Syria that supports or associates with ISIS will be held accountable for this.
