Jerusalem sofer arrested for years of abuse against his daughters

As part of an investigation being conducted in recent months by Jerusalem's Crime Fighting Unit, a Jerusalem resident, who works as a sofer STaM (a scribe), was recently arrested on suspicion of committing serious offenses against his three daughters, when they were under the age of 12, for many years. In addition, he hit a neighbor the same age as his daughters.

Following a report received by the police, they opened an investigation. Police detectives arrested the suspect and he was transferred to the police unit for interrogation.

During the course of the investigation, the investigators collected many testimonies that strengthen the suspicions against the suspect for the serious and cruel offenses against his daughters and neighbor.

According to the findings of the investigation and the many testimonies collected, the suspect severely harmed his daughters and a neighbor of their age, several years ago, when they were under the age of 12. For several years, he committed serious offenses against them in a large number of cases that occurred over time. In addition, the suspect used to attack the girls with a broomstick and a belt.
