Rachel Goldberg, the widow of Rabbi Avi Goldbert, HY'D, who fell in battle in southern Lebanon in late October, 2024, played violin along with the children's choir Kolot min HaShamayim, and inspired the audience with words of strength.

Rabbi Avi Goldberg was a captain in the IDF and a beloved teacher at the Himmelfarb yeshiva high school in Jerusalem. He died in the same incident in which Major (res.) Gilad Elmaleh, Capt. (res.) Amit Hayut, and Major (res.) Eliav Amram Abitbol fell. In addition, three reservists, a soldier in Battalion 8207, and a combat engineering officer were seriously wounded.

His widow stated that she realized that the soldiers and those waiting for them at home are all "sacrificing themselves for Klal Yisrael, as Klal Yisrael has something great to give the world...He served 250 days on reserve duty, and I had 8 kids in the house. We talked together about the meaning of Klal Yisrael and that we have something to give the world - justice, benevolence, light and life, as opposed to our enemies who seek to destroy the world... and even though Avi's body is no longer around, his soul is so big, it still brings so much to this world."
