Hamas released a video on Saturday showing a sign of life from Matan Zangauker, who was kidnapped along with his girlfriend Ilana Gritzewski from Nir Oz on Oct. 7.

In the video, Zengaucker said: "We are still alive, we want to return safely before we go crazy. Isolation kills and the darkness is frightening. We die 1,000 times a day. Every day I die a little more and a little more, they let us fall."

Zangauker appealed to his family, friends and citizens of the country: "Our government has abandoned us and continues to abandon us every day. I hope that you are doing everything in your power to change the situation and to bring me and the rest back. I hope that soon we will reunite again, don't forget us."

The families headquarters for the return of the hostages stated: "The family of Matan Zangauker confirms the publication of the video published today (Saturday) by the Hamas terrorist organization. At the request of the family, please do not use the term "psychological terrorism" but rather "sign of life".
