IDF eliminates senior Hamas internal security officer in Khan Yunis humanitarian zone

The IDF conducted a targeted strike last night (Wednesday) in the Khan Yunis humanitarian zone, eliminating a number of terrorists including Osama Ghanim, a senior officer in Hamas' internal security forces.

The IDF said that Ghanim had "a key role in implementing Hamas’s brutal methods, which included conducting harsh civilian interrogations while violating human rights" and "suppressing residents suspected of opposing Hamas."

The IDF said that it took a number of steps to ensure that civilians were not harmed, including the use of precise munitions, intelligence information, and other tools.
