Chilling report: Hamas preparing to execute hostages before IDF reaches them

An internal Hamas statement said the terrorist organization believes the IDF will attempt another hostage rescue operation soon, and has left instructions for captors to "neutralize" the hostages before they can be rescued.

An internal memo distributed by Hamas' intelligence unit to terrorist units warned that the IDF is planning a hostage rescue operation "soon" and that the units should be prepared to "neutralize" - meaning to execute - the hostages before the IDF can reach them, according to a Reuters report.

The memo further told Hamas terror operatives not to worry about the implications of such an order, and that it would be Israel who would be held responsible for the hostages' deaths.

All this is taking place as Defense Minister Israel Katz says that there is a real chance for a hostage deal due to unrelenting IDF pressure, and Channel 14 reported that a real breakthrough in talks may be possible, depending on whether the cabinet approves the sending of a delegation to Cairo.
