Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi after the assassination in Jenin: "We don't wait for terrorists, we go after them"

The elimination of the terrorist who murdered Yehonatan Deutsch, may his memory be blessed: The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, held a situational assessment today (Sunday) in the Judea and Samaria Division, with the Central Command Commander, Major General Avi Blot, the Judea and Samaria Division Commander, Brigadier General Yaki Dolev, the brigade commanders, and other officers.

As mentioned, earlier today, the IDF announced that the terrorist Wael Lahouh, who murdered Yehonatan Deutsch, may his memory be blessed, was eliminated this morning in an IDF operation in the Jenin area. Lahlooh headed a cell of terrorists that carried out several shooting attacks in the Gilboa area; along with Lahlooh, three other terrorists were eliminated.

Lahlooh, 31, a resident of Kabatiya, carried out the shooting attack at the Mechola Junction on August 11, 2024, in which Jonathan Deutsch, of blessed memory, was murdered and another Israeli was injured.

Immediately after the attack was carried out, IDF forces from the Menashe Brigade raided the attack site and found three weapons on the bodies of the terrorists. Additionally, more weapon parts, vests, and materials for making explosives were found.
