Hamas to meet with Egyptian officials to discuss hostage deal

Prime Minister Netanyahu is also convening a meeting this evening to discuss developments regarding hostage negotiations.

An Egyptian source to Qatari newspaper al-Arabi al-Jadid today (Sunday) that a Hamas delegation led by senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya and Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Mahmoud Rashad to discuss a ceasefire proposal in Gaza.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has also reportedly scheduled a meeting this evening to discuss possible developments regarding hostage negotiations.

President Biden has pledged to make a particular effort to ensure the release of the hostages now that a ceasefire has been secured in the north and appears to be holding firm.
