Ballistic missile launched from Yemen, sirens sound in central Israel

Missile successfully intercepted outside Israel's borders; rescue forces report minor injuries as residents rushed to shelters.

Sirens sounded this morning (Sunday) in Beit Shemesh, Modi’in, Ramle, Lod, and many other communities in the Shfela region at around 6:20 a.m. A ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Houthis was successfully intercepted outside the country.

The rescue forces reported that no casualties from shrapnel were found, but there are panic victims and 4 people injured while on their way to a protected area in the Rishon LeZion, Rehovot, Be'er Ya'akov and Lod areas.

The IDF stated that a ballistic missile launched from Yemen was successfully intercepted outside the country with the help of the Arrow system.
