Terrorist attack in Samaria: An Arab from Jerusalem arrested on suspicion of aiding a terrorist 

Israeli police arrested an Arab with Israeli citizenship who allegedly assisted the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack at a bus at the Gitai Avisar junction in Samaria, near Ariel.

The Israeli police today (Saturday) arrested an Arab with Israeli citizenship who allegedly assisted the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack on a bus at the Gitai Avisar junction in Samaria last Friday, a few hours before the start of the Sabbath.

After intensive intelligence and operational activity in the Samaria region in the Judea and Samaria District, in cooperation with Jerusalem District units, the suspect was located and arrested for aiding and abetting the attack in a focused operational activity on Route 4. He was transferred for further interrogation in the Samaria region.

The bus driver injured in the shooting attack on Friday at Gitai Junction near Ariel in Samaria, identified on Friday as Hassan al-Sakin from Umm al-Fahm remains in critical condition in Beilinson Hospital.

Earlier today, Beilinson Hospital reported that 6 wounded from the attack are still hospitalized. 1 in serious condition. 2 in moderate condition. 3 in mild condition.

Arabic media published the identity of the terrorist who carried out the attack: Samer Hussein, 46, from the village of 'Einabus, near Huwara, south of Nablus, who had previously been imprisoned in Israel for security offenses.
