The head of the IDF Northern Command, Major General Ori Gordin, warned that the IDF is fully prepared to resume combat in Lebanon if Hezbollah makes a misstep. On Thursday, Major General Gordin conducted a situational assessment and toured southern Lebanon with key commanders, including BG Yiftach Norkin of the 146th Division and COL Omri Rosenkrantz of the 300th Brigade.

“We are here after the 'Northern Arrows' operation. Our achievements against Hezbollah are substantial, delivering a decisive blow to the organization at every level. We've significantly weakened its launch capabilities, reducing its impact on Israel’s home front. We’ve also caused considerable damage to Hezbollah’s leadership and military command, disrupting its command and control structures. Most importantly, we've crippled the Radwan Forces’ offensive capabilities, which represents one of our most significant operational successes. The ground operations carried out here dismantled Hezbollah's infrastructure, weapons, and personnel,” said Major General Gordin.

“We’ve set Hezbollah back by years. This strategic victory gives us greater freedom to make decisions and manage the campaign moving forward,” he added. Gordin emphasized that the IDF is committed to enforcing the ceasefire agreement with full force. “Two nights ago, the political leadership finalized a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon. Our job now is to facilitate and enforce it. We will do so aggressively, adhering to the conditions we set. We will not allow Hezbollah to regain a foothold here. Our mission is to clear this area of Hezbollah’s presence, including its weapons.”

He concluded by sending a strong warning: "If Hezbollah makes a mistake, it will be a major one. We are ready to return to offensive operations if needed. While we are in enforcement mode now, we can quickly switch back to combat mode at any time."
