Ben Gvirs' sharp response to Lebanon ceasefire

Ben Gvir attacks the ceasefire agreement: This is a historic mistake, we will have to return to Lebanon

Ben Gvir opposes the agreement and clarifies: This is a historical mistake. The Lebanese army does not have the authority, and certainly not the capability, to overcome Hezbollah. "In the end, we will have to return to Lebanon again."

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir attacks the expected agreement between Israel and Lebanon this evening (Tuesday) and says: "Why do I oppose the agreement with Lebanon: this is not a ceasefire." It's a return to the concept of quiet for quiet, and we've already seen where that leads.

According to the minister: "This agreement does not meet the war's objective – to safely return the residents of the north home." An agreement with the Lebanese army is an agreement on thin ice. The Lebanese army has no authority at all, and certainly no ability, to overcome Hezbollah.

"In order to leave Lebanon," says Ben Gvir, "we must have our own security strip." We have already seen that we cannot trust anyone except ourselves."

"Otherwise, the missiles will be launched at Manara, Aviviim, Kiryat Shmona, the entire north, and all of Israel, and in the end, we will have to return to Lebanon again." This is a historical mistake!
