Israel in the war: It has been permitted to publish that Corporal Tamer Osman, 21, from the village of Yasif, fell in battle in northern Gaza Strip. Osman was a fighter in the Nachshon Battalion (90), Kfir Brigade.
Earlier today, it was permitted to publish that Yonah Betzalel Barif, who was critically injured over a year ago in the battle for Kibbutz Kfar Aza, passed away today from his injuries. In the institutions of Bnei David, they mourned Yonah, who studied at the Ma'ale Efrayim pre-military academy, and said, "The rabbis and students of the 'Bnei David' institutions mourn the fall of the hero Yonah Betzalel Barif, may his memory be a blessing, a graduate of the fifth cohort of the Ma'ale Efrayim pre-military academy, who passed away last night after a year of fighting for his life after being critically injured in the battle for Kibbutz Kfar Aza on Simchat Torah 5784, 7.10.23."
Additionally, it was reported this morning that a reservist in the 8163 Battalion, Combat Engineering Corps, was seriously injured in a battle in the central Gaza Strip. In another incident, an IDF soldier was seriously injured after being hit by a drone launched from Lebanon towards the Hermon. The reservist sergeant and the soldier were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital, and their families were informed.
