The Northern Command Commander, Major General Uri Gordin, held a situational assessment and field tour yesterday (Tuesday) with the Northern Corps and Maneuver Division Commander, Major General Dan Goldfus, the 98th Division Commander, Brigadier General Guy Levi, and the 7th Brigade Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Elad Tzuri, regarding the division's ground operations in the new objectives in southern Lebanon.
During the situational assessment, the commanders discussed the importance of the forces' activities on the ground to create the conditions for the return of northern residents to their homes, expressed great appreciation for the reservists and regular forces, and approved plans for the continuation of the fighting.
General Uri Gordin spoke with the fighters: "We are in this space on the offensive, very good achievements so far, and you have a big part in this." It also starts with the fire effort against the organization's fire capabilities, which have decreased dramatically.
"We are under the goal of creating the conditions for the return of the residents of the north to their homes safely." And this is an important, ethical goal, and it is the foundation of the Northern Command's mission – to protect the residents.
"In my opinion, it's hard to describe the contribution, the quality, and the very impressive readiness you demonstrate at every moment. Each one of you puts something else aside, regardless of the exact date of your wedding, the birth of your children, your school exam, or the big project at work. All these things are super significant to every person, and you put them aside, and this is just one example of that dedication and that striving for values, and the foundation of Israeli society, which is so important, and for this, once again, appreciation, and we need to tell people all the time."
