A heavy barrage of rockets was fired shortly (Wednesday) towards the settlements in the western Galilee, Nahariya, and Akko. According to initial reports, there is a direct hit on a kindergarten in Akko. No casualties so far.
It is an uninhabited closed garden, but there is damage due to the blast. At this time, police officers and bomb disposal experts from the Coastal District are conducting searches to eliminate the risk and locate the sites while handling the items and remnants of the launched weaponry.
The IDF spokesperson stated that following alerts activated in the Western Galilee and Upper Galilee areas at 16:19, approximately 25 launches were identified crossing from Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted, and impacts were identified.
Half an hour later, additional sirens were heard in Nahariya and other settlements in the Western Galilee.
This morning, sirens were heard in Kiryat Shmona. In a barrage fired by Hezbollah, one rocket hit directly on the third floor of a building in the city.
There were no residents in the house, so no one was injured, but the building sustained significant damage. The apartment was completely destroyed, and now engineers are checking whether there is a risk of the building collapsing.
