In what the Israel Police describes as an "illegal" protest, members of the extremist Charedi group known as the Jerusalemite faction have clashed with police officers and blocked traffic. The police are on site working to restore public order.

Despite the protest being declared illegal, protestors against the 7,000 draft orders being issued called the police officers "Nazis" and "Nukhbas" while blocking the road.

While working to clear the road and maintain order, the police reiterated its support for the right to protest while promising to prevent disruptions to the public peace and safety.
