The IDF has released the names of two soldiers who fell in battle in northern Gaza:
Captain Yogev Pazy, 22, from Givot Bar, was a platoon commander in the Nachshon Battalion (90) of the Kfir Brigade. He fell in combat in northern Gaza.
Pazy was the nephew of former IDF Chief of Staff and current War Cabinet member Gadi Eisenkot.
This marks another tragic loss for the Eisenkot family, who already lost Eisenkot's son Gal and another nephew in the war.
Staff Sergeant Noam Eitan, 21, from Hadera, served as a combat soldier in the same Nachshon Battalion. He too fell defending Israel in northern Gaza.
Initial reports reveal that Kfir Brigade forces encountered Hamas terrorists around 9:40 AM in northern Gaza. The ensuing battle involving the Nachshon Battalion (90) resulted in two soldiers killed, one seriously wounded, and another lightly injured.
In a separate incident, a D9 armored bulldozer struck an explosive device, leaving one soldier seriously wounded. All injured have been evacuated to hospitals and their families have been notified.
The IDF also cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Idan Keinan fell in combat in northern Gaza. This announcement follows yesterday's news of the death of Uri Nisanovich, 21, from Jerusalem, a fighter in Golani's 13th Battalion, who fell in battle in southern Lebanon.
The casualties highlight the ongoing fighting on both Gaza and Lebanon fronts as IDF forces continue to engage terrorist forces. The seriously wounded soldiers are receiving medical care while their families have been updated on their condition.
May their memories be a blessing.
