Activist Shefi Paz will go to prison this morning (Thursday) for 45 days after spraying anti-refugee graffiti near judges' homes and institutions, such as schools, kindergartens and clinics for children of foreign workers in south Tel Aviv.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said that "Shefi Paz's entry into prison this morning is a stain on the reputation of the State Attorney's Office, the court, and a red alert for the state of democracy."

Ben-Gvir noted, "The indictment filed against Shefi several years ago and the actual prison sentence imposed on her for acts far less serious than what Kaplan demonstrators routinely do unhindered, under the auspices of the attorney general, are the best illustration of what is sick in our justice system."
