HEARTBREAKING: IDF releases names of 6 fallen soldiers in Lebanon 

The IDF has released the names of the six soldiers from the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion who lost their lives in combat operations in southern Lebanon. See below.

The names of five IDF fallen soldiers, whose families have been notified, have been released for publication.

Attached are the names of the fallen:

- Captain Itay Marcovich, 22, from Kochav Yair, a platoon commander in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

- Corporal Sraya Elboim, 21, from Machula, a squad commander in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

- Corporal Dror Hen, 20 years old, from Magen Haim, platoon sergeant in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

- Corporal Nir Gofer, 20, from Dimona, a fighter in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

- Corporal Shalev Itzhak Sagron, 21, from Sderot, a fighter in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

- The sixth soldier who fell in the battles in Lebanon is Corporal Yoav Daniel, a resident of the city of Nahariya. The IDF spokesperson has not yet permitted the official publication of his name.

In a statement, the municipality said: "The city of Nahariya shares in the deep sorrow of the Daniel family over the fall of their heroic son, Corporal Yoav Daniel, 19, who served as a soldier in the 51st Golani Brigade and fell today in battle in Lebanon."

"On behalf of the city's residents, we wish to embrace and strengthen his parents, Revital and Shachar, his sisters, Hadar and Sato, and all the family during this difficult time. May you not know sorrow again. Details about the funeral will be provided later. May his memory be blessed."

All six soldiers served in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion.

An initial IDF investigation indicates that the soldiers were killed during an exchange of gunfire with at least four Hezbollah operatives inside a building in a southern Lebanese village.

Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 793 IDF soldiers have fallen. May their memory be blessed.
