Defense Minister Israel Katz visited the northern front, discussing the IDF's achievements and vowing not to end the war until all Israel's war aims were secured - including the right to retaliate against any violation of the ceasefire.

While in the command pit of Northern Command, Katz said that "we have struck serious blows against Hezbollah and eliminated Nasrallah - and we therefore need to continue to strike it at full force to reap the fruits of victory."

Regarding his defense policy, Katz said "we will not do any ceasefires, we will not take our foot of the pedal, and we will not allow any settlement which does not include the achievement of the war aims which is the disarmament of Hezbollah, its withdrawal behind the Litani, and the creation of conditions for the return of the residents of the north to their homes in safety.

"We will not agree to any arrangement which does not ensure the disarmament of Hezbollah and its withdrawal beyond the Litani River - and primarily Israel's right to enforce (the ceasefire) itself and act against any terrorist activity and organization."
