Arab rioters from the village of Deir Dabwan poisoned another cistern yesterday (Tuesday) in the grazing areas of Givat Or Meir, which is used to irrigate the hill's flock. This is the second such incident in a week.

This time, thanks to quick medical treatment provided by the residents, most of the goats that suffered from poisoning symptoms, laying on the ground in serious condition after drinking from the water, managed to recover.

So far, no suspects have been arrested in either incident. When the defense establishment demonstrates incompetence and weakness against such agricultural terrorism, it is only a matter of time before the next attack happens.

According to the report from the settlement, these are the Arabs of an encampment on the outskirts of the village of Deir Debwan who regularly lead attacks against the shepherds of Givat Or Meir.

Last time, the shepherd even managed to identify a number of Arabs fleeing the pastureland back to the encampment – half of which is built illegally in Area C [under full Israeli control].

Last weekend, a Jewish shepherd watering his sheep in a local cistern on the farm's pastureland discovered that within moments the sheep drinking from the water began collapsing and dying in what is suspected to be poisoning by Arabs in the area.

The shepherd managed to separate the sheep from the cistern and prevent more sheep from drinking from the reservoir, but the damage had already been done. The settlement reports that so far as a result of the incident, at least 4 sheep have died and a number of other sheep are in serious condition.
