A kindergarten teacher's instinct and quick action saved her students today when a Hezbollah drone struck their school in Nesher, near Haifa. Despite no local sirens sounding in their area, the teacher spotted warning signs and rushed her students to safety moments before impact.
The teacher noticed air raid sirens blaring in nearby Kiryat Ata, about 5 kilometers away, and immediately moved her class into the building's protected shelter. Minutes later, the drone struck the kindergarten's playground.
"We witnessed a miracle today," emergency responders at the scene said. "This could have ended in tragedy. Her quick thinking prevented what could have been the murder of small children."
While the attack damaged the building and playground, no injuries were reported thanks to the teacher's rapid response.
The incident has raised questions about the warning system, as no sirens were activated in Nesher before the strike.
The drone was part of a larger barrage that triggered alerts across northern Israel, from Nahariya to Haifa.
