The spokesman for the Houthi army in Yemen, Yahya Saree, claimed responsibility for the missile strike towards central Israel this morning (Monday), stating that his forces launched a hypersonic ballistic missile of the "Palestine 2" model towards the Nachal Sorek base. In his remarks, he threatened that the Houthis "will continue military operations against Israel in response to the crimes in Lebanon and Gaza."

As mentioned, around 6:00 this morning, sirens were heard in several settlements in the Judean and Lachish lowlands, including Beit Shemesh, Beit Guvrin, Kiryat Arba, Gush Etzion, and more. The IDF spokesperson confirmed that the Air Force intercepted one launch coming from the direction of Yemen, and clarified that the launch did not cross into Israeli territory and alerts were activated according to policy.

Simultaneously, during the night hours, the Air Force identified 4 aircraft on their way to Israel, with interceptions of two of the aircraft carried out before they entered the airspace. The two other drones penetrated Israeli territory, triggering alarms in the area, and the drones were intercepted in the air. At this stage, no injuries or damage have been reported.
