Hezbollah took a very hard hit – "we are striving for a ceasefire."

MK Moshe Saada from Likud claimed today (Sunday) on 103fm that in the coming weeks we will see an arrangement in the North due to Trump's entry into office: "It is clear to me that the whole world understands this, aligning itself with the new situation. This is an important and significant event, and it is clear to me that in the coming weeks we will see a ceasefire in the North." Saada expresses hope that Trump's new presence as President of the United States will lead to a change in the situation in the northern arena, where Hezbollah poses a continuous military and security threat to Israel.

He was also asked whether he supports this and replied: "Of course, that's where we are heading, Hezbollah received a very hard blow."

Saada's words reflect the expectations and hopes of some in the political and security ranks in Israel that the anticipated moves of the Trump administration might enable the creation of a new and more stable situation against the security threats in the north.

However, it is clear that achieving a substantial and long-term settlement with Hezbollah and the countries in the region will require extensive diplomatic and political efforts, alongside military power and readiness to deploy it if necessary.
