Sirens sounded across Beit Shemesh and its surroundings just before 6:00 a.m. this morning (Monday) signaling residents of an approaching threat. Shortly after, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed that the Israeli Air Force had intercepted a projectile launched from Yemen.

Though the missile did not cross into Israeli territory, the sirens were triggered as a precautionary measure, following established protocol.

The interception caused debris to fall, igniting a fire in the Beit Shemesh area. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene, containing the blaze.

This event followed a tense evening on Sunday, when, just before midnight, alarms sounded in the Upper Galilee. An aerial target from Lebanon was detected and tracked by the IAF before being intercepted over Israeli territory.

In a separate incident earlier that day, a UAV entered from Lebanon and reached the Amakim region without triggering alarms. Although the UAV caused property damage, no injuries were reported.
