The Syrians are reporting airstrikes by Israeli fighter jets in the capital city of Damascus and its surroundings. Footage now being published in Syria shows a residential tower allegedly destroyed from the air, according to local claims.
In the videos, it can be seen that a precise attack was carried out against an apartment on one of the floors of a building that appears to be a residential building in the Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood of Damascus. According to reports from Syrian opposition organizations, Rusa Zainab serves Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a center of power and a central operational point for the organizations in Syria, activities that also include smuggling weapons to Lebanon.
According to reports in Syria, the attack was carried out by a missile launched from an aircraft, which struck the fourth floor of the building and destroyed it while the rest of the building remained standing and unharmed. Syrian opposition sources report at least 6 dead and 15 injured in the attack.
