Netanyahu confidant Ron Dermer to meet with Trump and team

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer is set to meet with Trump and his transition team during a visit to the United States, according to Channel 12 reporter Amit Segal.

Dermer is part of Netanyahu's close circle within the broader government, and he is one of a small number of ministers with whom Netanyahu holds security consolations and discussions of the war effort.

Netanyahu himself said that he has spoken to Trump three times now and that he and the President-elect see "eye to eye" on the matter of Iran and both agree to work to expand and exploit opportunities for peace in the region.

Trump himself has said that Netanyahu needs to end the wars in the north and south soon, but Netanyahu has said this means decisive victory rather than withdrawal without it.
