Michael Eitan, a veteran Likud MK and one of the staunchest opponents of Former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak's judge-made "constitutional revolution in Israeli law, has passed away at 80 from Parkinson's.
According to a statement put out by his family, he was also involved in plans to settle the country and also did much to make Israeli government services easily accessible to citizens online.
He also strongly fought against Meir Kahana in the 1980s and Kahanism in general.
A model public servant, he was one of the first to make his pay stub and schedule public.
He is survived by three daughters and his life partner Professor Karine Nahon.
