Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said yesterday (Wednesday) that "it does not matter to us who won the US election because our country and system rely on our internal strength and a proud, great nation," according to Iran International.
He further said that "we will maintain an open and expansive approach in cultivating our relations with other nations."
Pezeshkian has also said that he intended to focus on internal reforms and governance when he was elected, but the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and subsequent events foiled those efforts.
Meanwhile, Israel and the United States continue to brace for a possible Iranian missile attack either from Iran itself or its proxies spread throughout the region.
While Israel has not detected evidence of a preparation for a missile and drone launch, the United States has nevertheless beefed up its presence with multiple warplanes.
